We promise to protect your privacy and treat the information you give us as confidential and we will only save your personal data in order to fulfil contractual needs or in order to serve our mutual interests of business.

We will store any personal information we have in a secure way.

Your privacy is important to us

Market, survey and opinion research serves an important function in society. Businesses and governments make better decisions through survey research.

As an independent fieldwork agency, Nordic Viewpoint has a large scope of potential clients and due to the nature of our business, we have different type of suppliers with whom we work together on multiple or unique occasion.

When you are in contact with Nordic Viewpoint, you can be assured that we will protect your privacy.

We have developed rigorous privacy standards that are set out in our detailed privacy policy. Nordic Viewpoint is member of ESOMAR, the world organisation for enabling better research into markets, consumers and societies.

ESOMAR sets professional standards to which we adhere, and which also protect your privacy according to GDPR.

Privacy Policy

Nordic Viewpoint collects personal information in order to communicate with employees and contact persons at clients and suppliers to ensure we can conduct market research and to offer service to our clients and to the participants and panel members as well as to ensure the running of our business is smooth.

1. The information that we collect

When we contact you, we generally do so for one of the following purposes:

  1. To market our services to the company you represent, or to ask for information about services your company represents;
  2. To re-contact you after previous contact with you;
  3. To conduct a customer satisfaction research interview with you;

Occasionally, we may contact you for one of these other purposes:

  1. To ask for your permission to use your personal information for a purpose that was not explained to you when we first collected your personal information.
  2. To update and to ensure that our records of your personal information are correct.

**Where do we get your personal information and contact details in order to contact you: **

  • If you are an existing customer/supplier, then your contact details may have been stored in our sales and project management systems or stored in previous email communication.
  • Through advertising where you have shown interest in our market research services and have provided us with your personal information through online subscription and contact request forms.
  • By telephone/letter or other means of direct contact. In this case, Nordic Viewpoint may have obtained/purchased contact details from official list management suppliers or through online directories and websites where you are professionally presented as a potentially relevant client for Nordic Viewpoint. We adhere to the privacy and terms of use policies of the list providers to ensure safeguarding your personal information for the specific purpose.
  • By direct contact based on a client’s recommendation. In this case, your contact details may be provided to us to allow you and our company to establish contact which may lead to cooperation on a market research project and we trust that our clients collected your consent to allow us to contact you directly for marketing purposes.

**Which personal information do we collect? **

When we establish contact with you as a client/supplier, we may collect personal data including your First Name, Last Name, Work Phone Number, Email, Role and the name of the Company you represent and depending on the type of service or cooperation, additional information concerning your profession and other demographic information can be collected which may identify you.

This information is used to contact you about the services on which we may cooperate or have cooperated on in the past.

This information will be used internally by us to ensure we can offer our services to client and to fulfil our contractual needs.

Contact via email: email addresses and the content of the email (which may contain information that you provided us) are stored in our email systems for a period of 7 years and are archived with limited access after 6 months.

Contact via social media. Contact via social media with our team is stored on the social media provider’s servers and according to the privacy policy of this provider who you consented membership to. The social media providers have automated email notifications to our social media managers which may contain the content and the user name of the social media profile who contacts us. These emails are stored according to our “Contact via mail” policy as above.

Purchased/obtained personal data may contain, but is not limited to your name, address, telephone number, email address, information about your profession, your business and the company you work for.

How long do we store your personal data?

In general, your personal data will be stored for the duration of the project and up to 24 months after our latest contact but may be stored longer based on your consent or if reasonable or legal grounds exists.

Who has access to your personal data?

Nordic Viewpoint will use technical and organisational measures to limit access to your personal data.

Personal data will be made available to relevant employees based on the need of your contact details within their role.

Client and potential client contact information will be available to key management and sales teams in order to market our services. On active projects, project managers will be given access to your personal data to ensure delivery of our services.

Supplier contact information will be available to key management and operations teams in order to ensure that Nordic Viewpoint can offer their services. On active projects, project managers may be given access to your personal data to ensure that we can deliver our services and that we can contact you to cooperate on the current projects.

Legal ground for processing personal data.

Nordic Viewpoint as a data controller processes personal data which is necessary for the purpose of legitimate interests pursued by the controller or a third party, except where such interests are overridden by the interests or fundamental rights and freedoms of the data subject which require protection of personal data, in particular where the data subject is a child.

Nordic Viewpoint considers it a legitimate interest for our business to business contacts to be contacted by us for marketing purpose, or to establish business cooperation between Nordic Viewpoint and the company that the data subject represents.

2. Use of cookies, log files and other technologies

Cookies are small text files stored on your computer by a website that assigns a numerical user ID and stores certain information about your online browsing. Nordic Viewpoint may use cookies on the sites to help us provide you a better experience and to provide quality control and validation functions. No personal information is stored on any cookie that we use.

3. Security of personal information

We inform our employees about our policies and procedures regarding confidentiality, security and privacy, and we emphasise the importance of complying with them. Our security procedures are consistent with generally accepted commercial standards used to protect personal information.

We may transfer personal information to affiliated companies or non-affiliated service providers for business related purposes, such as data processing, and fulfilment of contractual obligations. We require these companies to safeguard all personal information in a way that is consistent with our firm’s measures and as regulated by GDPR. We follow generally accepted industry standards to protect the personal information submitted to us, both during transmission and once we receive it.

5. Accuracy of personal information

Nordic Viewpoint makes reasonable efforts to keep personal information in its possession or control, which is used on an ongoing basis, accurate, complete, current and relevant, based on the most recent information available to us.

6. Access to personal information

To request access to personal information that we hold about you, we require that you submit your request in writing at the e-mail address or postal address shown below. You may be able to access your personal information and correct, amend or delete it where it is inaccurate, except as follows:

  1. Providing access to your personal information reveals personal information about others;
  2. Disclosing the information would reveal the confidential commercial information of Nordic Viewpoint or its clients.
  3. The burden or expense of providing access would be disproportionate to the risks to your privacy in the case in question.

We will endeavour to provide your requested personal information within 30 days of receiving your access request. If we cannot fulfil your request, we will provide you with a written explanation of why we had to deny your access request.

7. Right to be removed

At any time, you have the right to request us to remove your personal information from our records by contacting us on [email protected] or by contacting our Privacy Officer. Your personal details will be removed or anonymised within the shortest possible time and Nordic Viewpoint will make all efforts to ensure that personal details are removed.

By removing your records, we cannot guarantee that you will not be contacted by us again should your personal details appear on lists obtained/purchased and for which you have given consent to.
